Friends of the Library held their annual meeting Nov. 15 to distribute the proceeds from the spring and fall book sales. The purpose of the sales is to provide additional funds to the library for needed programs and materials. This year’s donation of $4,600 will be used for the summer reading program, shred day expenses, new trays to hold the CD collection, a furniture cube for the Children’s Library, and a sponsored month of the Imagination Library program. For more information about these items and programs, stop by the library. Those who would like to support the Friends of the Library, dues of $10 may be sent to Dottie Krogh at 51039 Olive Street, Atlantic, 50022, or they may be dropped off at the Library.
